Ride More, Pay Less: Your TD Card is the Key.
Uber is one of the world's leading ride-hailing and food delivery platforms, offering convenient transportation and Uber Eats services in cities worldwide. Through partnerships with select credit card providers, eligible cardholders can unlock exclusive Uber One membership benefits and travel savings.
To claim the offer, sign up for Uber One using an eligible TD Card and add the card as your primary payment method in the Uber app. New Uber One members can receive either a 3-month or 6-month complimentary membership, depending on their eligible TD card. After the free trial, select TD cardholders can continue saving with 20% off the regular monthly Uber One membership fee while using their eligible card. Uber One members also receive $0 delivery fees, 5% off eligible Uber Eats orders, 5% Uber One credits on eligible rides, exclusive promotions, and premium member benefits.

If you aren't in a massive rush, choosing UberX Share is the easiest way to get a direct discount. You get a lower upfront price (usually 10% to 20% off standard UberX) in exchange for potentially picking up another rider along the way. Even if the app doesn't find a co-rider for your trip, you still keep the discounted price.
In Canada, linking your Aeroplan account to Uber is essentially a "passive" way to get free credit over time. You earn 1 point per $1 on eligible Uber Eats orders and premium rides (like Uber Comfort or XL). Go to Account, Settings, Aeroplan in the Uber app. Once you accumulate enough points, you can redeem them for Uber Gift Cards in the Aeroplan eStore.
Major Canadian retailers like Costco, Amazon, and Canadian Tire occasionally sell Uber gift cards at a discount. Buying a discounted card effectively gives you a 10-15% discount on every ride you take using that balance.
