Unlock the JW Marriott Lifestyle: 110,000 Points to Stay in Pure Luxury.
As a new Marriott Bonvoy American Express Cardmember, you can earn a total of 110,000 bonus points through a two-stage limited-time offer ending April 7, 2026.
To claim the first 80,000 points, you must charge a minimum of $6,000 in net purchases (for the Personal card) or $10,000 (for the Business card) within the first 6 months of your account being open. To receive the remaining 30,000 points, you simply need to make at least one purchase of any amount during your 15th month of cardmembership.
This card is officially affiliated with Marriott Bonvoy; the points are deposited directly into your loyalty account and can be used for stays at luxury brands like JW Marriott.
The primary conditions are that you must be a new cardmember (current or former holders are generally ineligible), pay the annual fee ($120 for Personal, $150 for Business), and meet the specific spending deadlines.
Once you have the card, you earn 5 points for every $1 spent at participating Marriott properties and receive an Annual Free Night Award (worth up to 35,000 points) every year after your first anniversary, which effectively offsets the cost of the annual fee.

Marriott offers a "Prepay & Save" rate. If you book at least 7–14 days in advance and pay upfront, you can typically save 10% to 20% off the standard rate. Simply being a Marriott Bonvoy member (free to join) gives you access to a lower "Member Rate" that is usually 2–5% cheaper than any public site like Expedia or Booking.com.
Marriott has dedicated portals for specific groups. You can select these in the "Special Rates" dropdown on the website.
If you are 62 years or older, you can save 15% or more on your room. You must show a valid ID at check-in. Active members of CAA (Canada) get a dedicated discount (usually 10–15% off) and sometimes include perks like free parking or breakfast.
Active duty military and government employees are eligible for significantly lower "per diem" rates, though these are subject to availability and require official ID.
If you have a Platinum or Centurion American Express, you can book JW Marriott through Fine Hotels + Resorts (FHR). This gives you US$100–$150 property credit (for food or spa). Complimentary breakfast for two. Guaranteed 4:00 PM late checkout. Room upgrades (subject to availability).
