As a cardholder, you earn an elevated 7.5% back in Kohl's Rewards on every store purchase, which is a 50% increase over the standard 5% rate for non-cardholders. Upon approval, new members typically receive a 40% discount on their first purchase within 30 days.
Throughout the year, you will receive extra savings coupons, including a special anniversary gift and advance notifications of major sales events delivered by mail.
The card simplifies logistics by allowing for receipt-free returns on all purchases made with the card. For frequent shoppers, spending $600 within a calendar year (January 1 – December 31) grants Most Valued Customer (MVC) status. This elite tier unlocks additional perks, most notably monthly free shipping opportunities that can be stacked with other offers.
Claim it Online or in the App
Put your items in the cart and head to checkout. In the "Payment" or "Review" section, look for "Apply Coupons & Kohl’s Cash." If you are signed in, your 15%, 20%, or 30% cardholder offer should already be in your Wallet. Just click "Apply." Your discount will not reflect in the final total until you select your Kohl's Card as the payment method. The system needs to "see" the card to validate the offer.
In-Store
Open the Kohl's App, go to your Wallet, and show the barcode for your cardholder coupon to the cashier. Just tell the cashier you are a cardholder. They can often look up your account with your ID and manually apply the current cardholder discount for you.

You do not need a Kohl's Card to join the Rewards program. This is the foundation of saving on every trip: Every dollar you spend earns you 5% back in rewards.
